A Little History

So, just in case you were curious, here is a little history about me and my family!
I married the "donor" in 1992. I had my first daughter in 1991 and my second in 1994. We split up when I was 8 months pregnant with my second. (Found out it was the BEST thing that ever could have happened to me)
I have ALWAYS had problems with my first daughter. She has never been quite right. She would do things when she was little that scared me to death! One time, I watched this special on Serial Killers and she had like 5 of the 7 signs. They tell me now that she will probably be diagnosed with a Personality Disorder (Sociopath) when she is 18. That is VERY SCARY to me!
My youngest daughter seems to have always gotten the short end of the deal. When you are dealing with one child that is constantly doing something the other one doesn't get the attention that they need or deserve. She was diagnosed last year with Bi-Polar and takes her meds regularly. She is learning to deal with our chaotic household. (sad but, true) She is currently in therapy and is just getting started. She can't "blow" at home or at her sister so her outlet is School! UGH. I am at the school FREQUENTLY!!! Her therapist tells me to be patient while she figures things out.
I met my current husband in 1994 (when my youngest was 3 months). He is the most patient and understanding and WONDERFUL husband I could EVER ask for. If I were him, I probably would have ran YEARS ago! LOL He adopted my children in 2004 and has never regretted his decision (to my knowledge). He knows that they are how they are and we just take it a day at a time (sometimes a minute at a time).
I started therapy for myself in June of last year. She has taught me alot and has made me open my eyes even when I don't want too!
I guess we are all just adapting and learning and trying to figure out our crazy lives!
There is much more then this and I will post it. Just don't want to get this too long.
Have a GREAT day!!! and TGIF!!!

My Grandson

<<<<<<---------------- This is my GRANDSON!! He is the light of my life. There is NO other sound more wonderful then listening to him giggle when you tickle or kiss him! We currently have custody of him and he has lived with us all of his 7 months of life. My daughter really does LOVE him she is just not ready to give her life up for him and put him first! And, that is what he deserves! To be first. He will only be little for so long. And we think he needs the love and stability that we give him to grow and develop into a stabl lil man.
Just thought I would introduce him to you!

Parenting

Why don't people tell you what that REALLY means in the beginning????
I mean, you have this beautiful bundle of joy that you love instantly and then hormones take over their bodies and you now have these aliens that live with you!
Hi! My name is Denita:
I have two girls that are Bi-Polar
One that is 14 and one that is 17 (with a baby that we have custody of)
We have been down a VERY long road and are STILL traveling! LOL
I figured that I would start this so that people KNOW that they are NOT ALONE!!!
It is a tough road to travel and it sometimes feels like it will NEVER end. I just keep telling that God doesn't give you more than you can handle!! (HE must have a TON of faith in us!)
